There is a great variety of fun things to do in the capital, such as taking the Ale and Cider Trail which celebrates the local craft beer venues, hiking the new 3.7-mile Catamount Trail at Silver Falls State Park and walking along the new Peter Courtney Minto Island Pedestrian and Bicycle Bridge that joins the downtown area to the 1,200 acre Minto-Brown Island Park.
