As great lovers of wild places, we love seeing pictures taken at the stunning national parks across the U.S., especially from our tribe of RV renters. While each park has its signature Insta spots, here are a few of our absolute national park photo locations to visit in your RV rental.

Yellowstone National Park: Grand Prismatic Spring

Old Faithful may be the most famous photo spot in Yellowstone National Park, but Grand Prismatic Spring is the most colorful. Photographers travel from all over the country to snap its vibrant yellows, oranges, greens and blues. Plus, the sheer size of the spring makes a statement itself, coming in at more than 370 feet wide. (That’s wider than the length of a football field!)

And the great photo spots don’t stop there –you can also check out the other, smaller natural pools nearby, including Opal Pool and Turquoise Pool.

Glen Canyon National Recreation Area: Rainbow Bridge

When it comes to photo spots in Arizona, you probably thought we would choose Grand Canyon National Park. While that’s still an amazing choice, we wanted to take the road less traveled.

Rainbow Bridge National Monument in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (not a park, per se, but still awesome) is one of the largest natural bridges in the world. Made of a single piece of rock, this bridge has been considered sacred by the native peoples in the Four Corners region. Though it can be difficult to reach, it’s worth the trek for those searching for a spiritual connection … or an awesome selfie. To capture the full bridge, you’ll likely need to stand some distance away. And a selfie stick will do wonders for getting the perfect shot.

Redwood National Park: Fern Canyon

Redwood National Park protects the tallest trees in the world. Although a spectacle all on their own, these redwood trees aren’t the only beautiful plant life to see within the park grounds.

Fern Canyon is a truly magical experience and you may even recognize it from Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park II. When there,  you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped into a jungle-like paradise. Ferns hang from the canyon walls, covering them completely, and the redwoods tower above, encompassing you in quiet solitude. Be sure to bring water sandals or waterproof shoes as the Fern Canyon Trail runs along a creek in the canyon.

Yosemite National Park: Glacier Point View

We’ll admit it – Yosemite National Park is probably the first park that came to mind when we thought of epic selfie spots. With a photo opportunity in every nook and cranny of the park, it was difficult to pick just one spot. To help you get the most beauty possible in one shot, we chose an overlook that captures multiple landmarks.

Glacier Point View is a popular photo destination because guests can capture Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and the Yosemite Valley. This overlook is accessible by car with the starting point for many popular hiking trails nearby, including the Panorama Trail. Once you’ve snapped the perfect selfie, you can head out on your own adventure through the park.

Glacier National Park: Logan Pass

If you can time your visit just right, between late spring and early summer, Glacier National Park provides a stunning backdrop of snow-capped mountains and lush greenery with blooming flowers in the valleys. In areas like Logan Pass, Glacier lilies cover the ground and wildlife like bighorn sheep and mountain goats, roams freely.

It is important to know that Logan Pass becomes extremely busy in the warmer months. Park officials recommend utilizing the free shuttle service to the lookout point to avoid the hassle of finding parking. If you’re able to visit in the early morning, the lighting is perfect for photos and you’re more likely to snap a picture of the wildlife before the crowds arrive.
