Discover Nevada

When you think of the most relaxing experience you could have in a Nevada RV rental from Cruise America, Las Vegas may not pop into your head immediately, but what a great location for a motorhome rental! And how convenient is it that Cruise America just happens to have an RV rental center right in Las Vegas?
We all know about the glitz and glamour of “The Entertainment Capital of the World,” but there are more things to see and do besides shows, casino gambling, nightclubs and fine dining. There are several locations and activities that lie beyond the city limits. With an RV rental, Las Vegas is a great starting point for short day trips and excursions. As an example:

Zion National Park – Just 168 miles from Las Vegas, this trip will allow you to enjoy the scenery during the day, and be back that night in time to catch your show. Explore the drive-through canyons that were formed over the centuries by the Virgin River. Once you get there, you can park your Cruise America rental motorhome and take the free shuttle that will take you through this marvel of nature. Not only do you get a free guided tour through some of nature’s greatest creations, you are also driven to points of interest in the park, as well as popular view points and hiking spots. The park offers hiking, biking, horseback riding, photography, camping and tubing on the Virgin River. You then have your choice to camp for the night in your rental recreational vehicle, or head back to the City of Lights for a great buffet dinner.

Bryce Canyon National Park – Another wonder of nature from Utah are the sandstone cliffs at Bryce Canyon. About a three-hour drive from your favorite Las Vegas hot spot, you will be astounded at the unique geology that makes this park such a highly-visited location. It is comprised of a series of horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters that have been carved from the eastern edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. The bright colorful limestone formations present themselves into a myriad of bizarre shapes, which include “windows,” “hoodoos (spires),” “fins” and “slot canyons.” While at the park you will find not only camping for your RV rental, but moonlit-guided hikes, telescope gazing, horseback riding, hiking and auto tours—either in your rental motorhome, or in the shuttles that are provided.

Grand Canyon – Only about a four-and-a-half-hour drive from the Las Vegas buffet you most enjoy, you can visit one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The immense size of this landscape miracle is enough to astound you, but the colorful formations within the canyon, and the diverse geologic colors just seals the “blown away” deal. Nearly five million people visit the canyon each year, and needless to say, there is a great deal of prime hiking available, including walking from the North Rim to the South Rim. This is adventurous, as it is a 21.5-mile hike with one mile of uphill climbing. There are great accommodations for your Cruise America rental motorhome as well, should you decide to stay the night … or day … or week! There are shuttles, river trips, guided tours, mule trips, ranger programs and visitor centers.

In an RV rental, Las Vegas is an absolute blast, and you could spend your entire trip right in the city watching shows, eating and gambling. As a matter of fact, you could do it with your RV parked right at the casino! Most of the attractions of Vegas have RV accommodations, either on the property or very nearby.
Whatever your preference; city lights or natural wonders, a Nevada RV trip has it all. Drop into one of our more than 130 rental centers, or visit our website for more information on RV rental, Nevada style.
