Whether you jam out to hard rock, bluegrass or anything in between, the summer season is chalk full of music festivals. Here are some of our favorite, RV-friendly fests to take your RV rental.

Firefly Music Festival

Firefly Music Festival is the largest music and camping event on the East Coast. Held annually in June, the festival features three days of music, art, shopping and amazing food in the Woodlands of Dover, Delaware. Located at the Dover International Speedway, the site extends into the woods with multiple stages connected by art-lined paths. In addition to big name acts like Panic! at the Disco, Death Cab for Cutie and Andrew McMahon, festival goers will enjoy hot DJ sets and nightly karaoke sessions.

Firefly’s immersive onsite camping experience, dubbed The Great Atlantic Campout, offers three RV campsite options as well as tent camping and glamping packages. If you’re looking for water, power and waste hookups, go with the Infield RV Camping package

Roughly an hour from the campsite, Cruise America’s Baltimore RV rental center is a great place to pick up your RV before heading to the festival.

Bonnaroo

Hit the road in a Tennessee RV Rental this June and head to Manchester for the Bonnaroo music and arts festival. Creole slang for “Good Stuff,” Bonnaroo is aptly named with more than 150 bands, interactive artwork, music, comedy performances, wellness activities and even a 5K run.

Situated on a 650-acre farm, Bonnaroo features a large camping area with options for car, RV and tent camping. Various themed plazas are located throughout the campgrounds, each hosting a variety of unique activities such as makeover stations, dance parties, yoga and more. Plazas also offer basic necessities like restrooms, first aid, fresh water, free Wi-Fi and charging stations.

Rock Fest

In July, head to central Wisconsin to experience the largest rock music and camping festival in the United States. For more than 25 years, legends like Iron Maiden, Motley Crew, Kid Rock and Nine Inch Nails have graced the Rock Fest main stage. Spanning 320 acres, the site includes more than 7,000 campsites, multiple side stages and plenty of food, drink and entertainment options. With four days jam-packed with music and activities, you may need to stop and catch your second wind at the Rock ‘n’ Relax Hammock Haven.

Campsites are 18′ x 40′ – big enough to accommodate all models in Cruise America’s RV rental fleet. Campers can upgrade to an Electric Campsite or VIP site located in the first few rows of the campground. There are no water hookups onsite but freshwater trucks and ice carts circulate the grounds. So, stop in our nearby St. Paul RV rental location and get ready to rock.

High Sierra Music Festival

This family-friendly festival has been a 4th of July weekend staple since 1991. Hosted at the Plumas County Fairgrounds in Quincy, California, the event offers five options for RV camp sites. But book early as the areas with available hookups sell out fast.

Despite featuring more than 50 music acts on multiple festival stages, High Sierra prides itself on being about more than just great music. With a variety of interactive activities – from parades and fire dancers to moment classes, art instillations and daily costume themes – there is never a dull moment.

Unique in its family-centric accommodations, the festival’s Family Village provides a kid-friendly campground area and “Rockin’ Nannies” offer professional childcare from 8 p.m. – 4 a.m.
