RV Parks in San Francisco
ShareGetting around many of San Francisco's bustling neighborhoods, such as Chinatown, is best done by bus or foot. Likewise, from Fisherman's Wharf, another popular attraction among visitors, you can ride a cable car to swanky Nob Hill or take the ferry to Alcatraz Island, now a national park. Other sites, including the Golden Gate Bridge and nearby Legion of Honor, are more remote and prone to fog, but your San Francisco RV rental from Cruise America will keep you warm and dry.
RV campgrounds in San Francisco provide the perfect launch point for a cruise along the Pacific Coast Highway, also known as the "PCH" or "Route 1." In fact, most RV parks in the San Francisco Peninsula are located a few hundred feet from the PCH and offer outstanding oceanfront views.
Driving north or south along the coast in your San Francisco RV rental, you'll be dazzled by miles of crashing waves, rocky cliffs, and outdoor opportunities. A southbound excursion along the PCH will take you past a number of state parks, such as Big Basin Redwoods State Park, where you can hike 80 miles of trails through redwood forests and waterfalls. Further south, the Monterey Bay area is a capital of marine activities—like deep-sea fishing, whale watching, and scuba diving—and home to the world-class Monterey Bay Aquarium. South of San Francisco, RV parks can be found in Santa Cruz, Carmel, and Marina.
