Atlanta

North Atlanta RV rentals are easily acquired, as there is a Cruise America Rental Center handily located in the northern part of of the city. Georgia is a truly beautiful state, and at the hub of it all is the capital city of Atlanta. This town is packed with fun and exciting things to do. You could actually spend your entire vacation just engaging in activities throughout the immediate area. However, there are plenty of fun daytrips just outside Atlanta, and with your Cruise America RV you have the freedom to travel about the state as far as you like. After all, you take your accommodations with you wherever you go!

If you drive your rental RV from Atlanta 60 miles north on US-19 to GA-115 in Lumpkin County, then follow GA-115 to GA-75 26 miles, you will find yourselves in the beautiful town of Helen, located in Appalachian Georgia. This duplicated Bavarian Alps town is like stepping into a year-round Oktoberfest, complete with two-liter beer glasses, bratwurst and cobblestone streets. It is known as one of the most beautiful attractions of Northeast Georgia. The Bavarian alpine village is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and has a wide variety of natural attractions. It offers over 200 specialty shops that carry handmade gifts such as candles, blown glass and cuckoo clocks that you’ll find nowhere else. You can stop in at Habersham Winery for a wine tasting, or head to Nora Mill Granary to pick up some stone-ground grits. You may decide to head to Unicoi State Park, where you can enjoy the hiking and biking trails, as well as swimming and boating on Unicoi Lake, set beautifully in the Chattahoochee National Forest. While there, you can hike to the spectacular Anna Ruby Falls, or maybe you prefer to tube down the Chattahoochee River. The gorgeous mountain views, mild climate and the continual festivities make this a favorite amongst Georgia’s visitors. If you’re hungry, now is the time to eat. The fare is authentic German to traditional Southern. One of the most popular year-round events sponsored by Helen is the annual Helen to the Atlantic Balloon Race and Festival, held during the first week of June. You can actually participate in a real Oktoberfest if you are there in September and October.

About a 60-minute drive in your RV rental headed south on I-85 will land you in a 13,000-acre horticulture display called Callaway Gardens. Here you may visit the Callaway Discovery Center, the Day Butterfly Center, the Birds of Prey Show, the Sibley Horticultural Center, Mr. Cason’s Vegetable Garden, or the Callaway Memorial Chapel and the Pioneer Log Cabin. Your family can enjoy fishing, golf, biking, tennis and a myriad of seasonal events offered all throughout the year. But the biggest attraction is seeing the gorgeous floral displays, as Mother Nature puts her best foot forward.

Sitting on the terminus of the Appalachian Trail on Springer Mountain is Dahlonega. It is an hour’s drive from Atlanta. This was the site of the first U.S. gold rush. It occurred in 1828, which was 20 years before the famed gold rush in California. The commercial district of Dahlonega is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The downtown area is filled with shopping, dining, music and theater. For wine enthusiasts, the Dahlonega Wine Trail is right down your alley, and for the nature lovers, there are the gorgeous waterfalls, rivers and forests that are sure to please the eye of any nature lover. There is something for everyone here.

North Atlanta RV rentals provide a getaway for families wishing to explore the beauty and excitement of the Peach State, and Cruise America makes it easy by making their top-of-the-line class C motorhomes available for rent.
