If you’re considering an RV trip, New Jersey has a great deal of beauty to offer. And if you don’t have a rental motorhome to explore in, one of Cruise America's Kenvil RV Rentals would be perfect. Many people who have never visited the Garden State may be surprised to find out just how green and lush it can be. Hence, the name “Garden State.” If you should find yourself exploring the state of New Jersey in a recreational vehicle, consider choosing some of these places to park your motorhome for some great New Jersey camping:
Delaware River Family Campground (Delaware, NJ): This is a picturesque setting for loads of fun with the family, just a half-hour drive from the city. Located in the Delaware River Water Gap area, this site is convenient to rafting, canoeing, or just plain tubing in the breathtaking beauty of the river. If you are not in the mood to get wet, you can always opt for a splendor filled hike on the Appalachian Trail. Should you happen to be one of those who just wants to hang around your Cruise America motorhome rental, you can enjoy the swimming pool at the park, or utilize the volleyball courts, miniature golf, the game room, the playground, or just sit around and enjoy the free cable offered by the park. If you are there on the weekend, you can enjoy one of the many events they hold for young campers and not-so-young campers alike. You can get there by taking US 80 West from Kenvil.
Cedar Creek Campground (Bayville, NJ): Located in Ocean County, NJ, less than two hours away from Kenvil, this resort-like campsite offers a great get-away, especially if you are in a Cruise America RV rental. You can choose to slide into their giant swimming pool via one of their dual slides and just relax beside the pool, or for the more adventure-minded camper, there is the lure of the woodlands, creeks and streams. Maybe the best feature of all is the outstanding canoe rental and livery services that both operate right out of the park. You can choose a one-hour excursion, or a six hour adventure. Lastly, this activity grants you a first hand look at the New Jersey Pine Barrens, which many say cause a magical draw to bring you back year after year. To get there, take the Garden State Expressway South for approximately 94 miles.
Island Beach State Park (Ocean County, NJ): This is another RV rental NJ hot spot to visit while exploring the state in your rental motorhome from Cruise America. It should be a required stop to drop into and enjoy this menagerie of water adventure. Most of the RVers that come to the park do so with the intent of swimming in the ocean or surf-fishing from the beach. You can get a glance of what the barrier islands of New Jersey looked like in years gone by. The park is located at the southern end of Route 35. Just take the Garden State Parkway South for approximately 100 miles. It’s just a short walk from the boardwalks and beaches of Seaside Heights. The southern tip of the park bounds one side of Barnegat Inlet and offers a beautiful view of Barnegat Lighthouse.
The Division of State Parks and Forestry of New Jersey watches over 375,000 acres of beautiful land. The facilities include 57 historic sites, 43 natural areas, 3 recreation areas, 11 forests, 39 parks and one golf course. So let’s Cruise America, and visit this great state of New Jersey.
